    Amazon Transportation team is looking for an innovative, hands-on and customer-obsessed Tech savy BIE for Analytics team. Candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent technical skills and should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.
    Ideal candidate must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. The candidate must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience and get the right things done. The candidate must have demonstrated excellence in Data engineering, Data science and visualization domains.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • You are able to apply basic statistical methods (e.g. regression) to difficult business problems and understand these methods’ assumptions and limitations. You write clear documentation of your designs.
    • You are able to apply a broad range of data design approaches as they relate to analytics.
    • Build mid-size to large BI solutions or components of larger solutions.
    • Your solutions are testable, maintainable and performant.
    • Your work is consistently of high quality. You have a deep understanding of data lineage of your team’s BI solutions: the technical systems by which the data is generated; how the metrics are aggregated; and how the resulting business intelligence is consumed, interpreted and acted upon by the business.
    • You solve difficult problems that are loosely defined or structured.
    • You apply appropriate technologies and follow best practices. You understand the technologies behind your team’s data infrastructure
    • You maintain and update—and may even create—scripts (e.g. R, Python, Shell) to simplify BI processes.

    Job Requirements:

    • Strong active listener with solid written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and delivering automated solutions for customer-facing data science problems.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders.
    • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
    • Strong understanding of BI technologies and their application including database warehousing and dash-boarding
    • Experience on at least one data visualization tools (e.g. OBIEE, Tableau, QlikView)

    Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Math/Statistics/Engineering or other equivalent quantitative discipline.
    • 10+ years in relevant experience as data scientist, software engineer, business intelligence engineer, or equivalent.
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL, shell scripting, Python/R, and MS excel.
